The first medal I made was a private commission to celebrate the 70th birthday of the director of a building company who enjoyed sailing and a nice glass of something special.

The text on the reverse side was contributed by one of his daughters, José Overtoom: ‘The Autumn wind already blows but they are still green, the chestnuts.’
